It is a protected area in Peru located in the province of Pisco, Ica.
The Paracas National Reserve was declared as such on September 25, 1975 It was created in order to preserve a portion of the sea and the desert of Peru, giving protection to various species of wild flora and fauna.
The Paracas Peninsula is located in an incredibly rich marine area, where outcrops of water is very cold, producing an abundance of plankton that feeds on fish, crustaceans and molluscs.
Because of its importance as a resting and feeding place for migratory species in 1991 was elevated to the category of Regional Reserve Hemispheric Shorebird Network.
The prevailing winds are south and southwest, reaching an average speed of 14.9 km / h; however, they can reach 32 km / h, being the strongest of the coast, known as the “Paracas”.

The remains of this figure are among the Supay Yumaque and beaches.
