Paracas National Reserve




It is a protected area in Peru located in the province of Pisco, Ica.

The Paracas National Reserve was declared as such on September 25, 1975 It was created in order to preserve a portion of the sea and the desert of Peru, giving protection to various species of wild flora and fauna.


Location

It is located in one of the most desert in coastal Peru, Ica, with an area of ​​335,000 hectares and 200,000 in the Pacific Ocean.

The Paracas Peninsula is located in an incredibly rich marine area, where outcrops of water is very cold, producing an abundance of plankton that feeds on fish, crustaceans and molluscs.



Environment

Weather

The Reserve

The Chandelier

The Cathedral
